1 முன்றாம் புலம்பல்: ஆலேஃப்: அவருடைய கோபத்தின் கோலால் வருந்தி என் வறுமையைக் காணும் மனிதன் ஆனேன்;
2 அவர் என்னை ஒளியிலன்று, காரிருளிலேயே கொண்டுவந்து விட்டுவிட்டார்;
3 நாள் முழுதும் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் என் மேலேயே தமது கையை நீட்டித் தண்டிக்கிறார்.
4 பேத்: என் தோலையும் சதையையும் சிதைத்து விட்டார், என்னுடைய எலும்புகளை நொறுக்கி விட்டார்;
5 என்னை வளைத்து முற்றுகையிட்டுத் துன்பத்தாலும் கசப்பாலும் நிரப்பி விட்டார்;
6 என்றென்றைக்கும் மரித்தவர்களுக்கு ஒப்பாய் என்னை காரிருள் நிறைந்துள்ள இடத்தில் வைத்தார்.
7 கீமேல்: வெளியேற முடியாமல் என்னைச் சுற்றிச் சுவர் எழுப்பி என் கைவிலங்கையும் பளுவாக்கினார்;
8 கூவியழைத்தும் இரந்து மன்றாடியும், என் மன்றாட்டைப் புறக்கணித்துத் தள்ளிவிட்டார்.
9 சதுரக் கற்களால் என் வழிகளைத் தடுத்து விட்டார்; என் பாதைகளைக் கோணலாக்கிக் கெடுத்துவிட்டார்.
10 தாலேத்:பாய்வதற்காகப் பதுங்கியிருக்கும் கரடி போலும், ஒளிந்திருக்கும் சிங்கம் போலும் எனக்கு ஆனார்;
11 என் வழிகளைப் புரட்டி என்னைப் பீறிக் கிழித்தார்; என்னை முற்றிலும் பாழாக்கினார்;
12 தமது வில்லை நாணேற்றினார், என்னை அம்புக்கு இலக்காக்கினார்.
13 ஹே: தமது அம்பறாத் தூணியில் உள்ள அம்புகைளை என் மார்பில் எய்தார்;
14 என் இனத்தார் அனைவர்க்கும் முற்றிலும் நான் நகைப்புக்கும் வசைப் பாடலுக்கும் இலக்கானேன்;
15 கசப்பினால் என்னை நிரம்பச் செய்தார், கசப்பு மதுவால் எனக்குப் போதை ஏற்றினார்.
16 வெள: கற்களைக் கடித்து என் பற்களை உடையச்செய்தார், சாம்பலை உணவாக எனக்கு ஊட்டினார்;
17 என் ஆன்மா அமைதியை இழந்துவிட்டது, எனக்கு மகிழ்ச்சி என்றால் என்ன என்பது மறந்துபோயிற்று.
18 என் வலிமைக்கு முடிவு வந்தது, ஆண்டவர் மேலுள்ள என் நம்பிக்கையும் போயிற்று" என்றேன்.
19 ஸாயின்: என் வறுமையையும் அலைச்சலையும் கசப்பையும், தாங்க முடியாத துன்பத்தையும் நினைத்தருளும்;
20 நான் அதையே நினைத்து நினைத்து வாடுகிறேன், என் உயிர் என்னில் மாய்கிறது;
21 இவற்றை என்னிதயத்தில் சிந்திக்கிறேன், ஆகவே நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுகிறேன்.
22 ஹேத்: ஆண்டவரின் இரக்கம் என்றென்றும் அழிவுறாது, அவருடைய பரிவுக்கு முடிவு இல்லை.
23 காலைதோறும் அவை புதுப்பிக்கப் படுகின்றன, நீர் மிக்கப் பிரமாணிக்கமுள்ளவர்;
24 ஆண்டவர் என் பங்கு, ஆதலால் அவரிடம் நம்பிக்கை வைப்பேன்" என்றது என் ஆன்மா.
25 தேத்: தம்மில் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கிறவர்களுக்கும், தம்மைத் தேடும் ஆன்மாவுக்கும் ஆண்டவர் நல்லவர்;
26 கடவுள் நம்மை மீட்பாரென்று, அமைதியாய்க் காத்திருத்தல் நல்லது;
27 இளமை முதல் அவரது நுகத்தைச் சுமந்து கொள்ளுதல் மனிதனுக்கு நன்று;
28 இயோத்: தன்மேல் அதனைச் சுமந்து கொண்ட பின் தனிமையில் அமைதியாய் அமர்ந்திருக்கட்டும்;
29 தரையில் முகம்படியக் குப்புற விழட்டும், நம்பிக்கைக்கு இன்னும் இடமிருக்கலாம்;
30 தன்னை அறைபவர்க்கும் கன்னத்தைக் காட்டட்டும், நிந்தைகளால் அவன் நிரம்பட்டும்,
31 காஃப்: ஏனெனில் ஆண்டவர் எப்போதைக்குமே ஒருவனை வெறுத்துத் தள்ளுவதில்லை;
32 ஒருவேளை அவனைத் தள்ளினாலும் பின்னர் தம் இரக்கப் பெருக்கத்திற்கேற்பத் தயை கூருவார்.
33 ஏனெனில் மனப்பூர்வமாய் அவர் மனிதர்களைத் தாழ்த்தினதுமில்லை, தள்ளிவிட்டதுமில்லை.
34 லாமேத்: உலகத்தின் கைதிகள் எல்லாரும் காலின் கீழ் நசுக்கப்படுவதையோ,
35 உன்னதரின் திருமுன்பு ஒருவனுக்கு நியாயம் மறுக்கப்படுவதையோ,
36 ஒரு மனிதன் வழக்கில் கவிழ்க்கப் படுவதையோ ஆண்டவர் பாராமல் இருக்கிறாரோ?
37 மேம்: ஆண்டவரின் ஆணையில்லாமல், தன் சொல்லால் மட்டும் ஒன்றை நிகழும்படி செய்யக் கூடியவன் யார்?
38 நன்மைகளும் தீமைகளும் உன்னதரின் வாயிலிருந்தன்றோ புறப்படுகின்றன?
39 மனிதன் எதற்காக முறையிட வேண்டும்? தன் பாவங்களின் முன் ஆண்மையோடு இருக்கட்டும்.
40 நூன்: நம் வழிகளைச் சோதித்துச் சிந்தித்து, ஆண்டவரிடம் திரும்பிடுவோம்.
41 ஆண்டவர்பால் வானகத்துக்கு நம்முடைய இதயங்களையும் கைகளையும் உயர்திதிடுவோம்.
42 நாங்கள் அக்கிரமம் செய்தோம், உமக்குக் கோப மூட்டினோம்; ஆதலால் தான் எங்களை நீர் மன்னிக்கவில்லை.
43 சாமேக்: "கோபத்தால் உம்மைப் போர்த்துக் கொண்டு எங்களை விரட்டி வந்து இரக்கமின்றிக் கொன்று மாய்த்தீர்.
44 எங்கள் மன்றாட்டு உம்மிடம் வராதபடி, உம்மை மேகத்தால் மறைத்துக்கொண்டீர்.
45 மக்களினங்களின் மத்தியிலே எங்களைக் குப்பை கூளங்களாய் ஆக்கிவிட்டீர்.
46 பே: "எங்கள் பகைவர்கள் அனைவரும் எங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் வாய் திறந்தனர்.
47 திகிலும் படுகுழியும் எங்களுக்குத் தயாராயின, நாசமும் அழிவும் எங்கள் மேல் வந்தன.
48 என் மக்களாம் மகளின் அழிவைக் கண்டு என் கண்கள் கண்ணீரைப் பெருக்குகின்றன.
49 ஆயீன்: "எங்களுக்கு இளைப்பாற்றி இல்லாமையால் ஒயாமல் கண்கள் நீர் வடிக்கின்றன.
50 ஆண்டவர் வானத்தினின்று நோக்கும் வரையில் தொடர்ந்து அவ்வாறே நீர் வடிக்கும்.
51 என் நகரத்தின் மகளிர் அனைவர்க்கும் நேர்ந்ததைக் காண்பது எனக்குப் பெரும் துயரமாகும்.
52 சாதே: "காரணமின்றி என் பகைவர்கள் பறவையைப் போல வேட்டையாடி என்னைப் பிடித்தார்கள்.
53 என்னை உயிரோடு குழியில் தள்ளினார்கள், என்மீது கற்களை எறிந்தார்கள்.
54 வெள்ளப் பெருக்கு என் தலை மீது ஓடிற்று; 'நான் மடிந்தேன்' என்றேன்.
55 கோப்: "ஆண்டவரே, ஆழமான பாதாளத்தினின்று உமது திருப்பெயரைக் கூவியழைத்தேன்;
56 என் குரலொலியைக் கேட்டீர்; என் விம்மலுக்கும் கூக்குரல்களுக்கும் உம் செவியைத் திருப்பிக் கொள்ளாதீர்,
57 உம்மை நோக்கி நான் கூவியழைத்த நாளில் என்னை அணுகி, 'அஞ்சாதே' என்றீர்.
58 ரேஷ்: "ஆண்டவரே, எனக்காக வாதாடினீர்; நீரே என் உயிருக்கு மீட்பளித்தீர்.
59 எனக்கெதிராய் அவர்கள் செய்த அக்கிரமத்தைக் கண்டீர், ஆண்டவரே, எனக்கு நீதி வழங்கும்.
60 எனக்கெதிராய் அவர்கள் கொண்டிருக்கும் ஆத்திரத்தையும் எண்ணங்களையும் பார்த்தீர்.
61 ஷின்: "ஆண்டவரே, எனக்கெதிராய் அவர்கள் கொண்டுள்ள சிந்தனைகளையும் சொன்ன நிந்தைகளையும் கேட்டீர்.
62 என் பகைவர்கள் எனக்கெதிராய் நாள் முழுதும் முணு முணுத்த சொற்களை நீர் கேட்டீர்.
63 பாரும், அவர்கள் உட்கார்ந்தாலும் எழுந்தாலும், என்னைப் பற்றியே அவர்கள் வசை பாடுகிறார்கள்.
64 தௌ: "ஆண்டவரே, அவர்களுடைய செயலுக்கு எற்ப அவர்களுக்குக் கைம்மாறு தந்தருளும்.
65 இதய கடினத்தை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடும். உமது சாபனை அவர்கள் மேல் இருக்கட்டும்.
66 ஆண்டவரே, சீற்றத்துடன் அவர்களைத் துன்புறுத்தும், வானத்தின் கீழ் அவர்களை நசுக்கி விடும்."
