1 என் இறைவா, என் இறைவா, ஏன் என்னைக் கைநெகிழ்ந்தீர்? என் வேண்டுதலையும் கூக்குரலையும் கேளாமல் ஏன் வெகு தொலைவில் இருக்கின்றீர்?
2 என் இறைவா, பகல் நேரத்தில் கூக்குரலிடுகிறேன், எனக்கு நீர் செவிசாய்க்கவில்லை: இரவிலும் உம்மை அழைக்கிறேன், என்னைக் கவனிக்கவில்லை.
3 இஸ்ராயேலின் பெருமையான நீர் திருத்தலத்தில் உறைகின்றீர்.
4 எங்கள் முன்னோர்கள் உம்மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்தார்கள்: நம்பிக்கை வைத்ததால் அவர்களுக்கு விடுதலையளித்தீர்.

7 என்னைப் பார்ப்போர் எல்லாரும் என்னை ஏளனம் செய்கின்றனர்: உதட்டைப் பிதுக்கித் தலையை அசைக்கின்றனர்.
8 ஆண்டவர் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்தானே, அவர் மீட்கட்டும்: அவருக்கு இவன் மீது பிரியமிருந்தால் இவனை விடுவிக்கட்டும்' என்றார்கள்.
9 நீரோவெனில் என்னைத் தாயின் கருப்பையிலிருந்து வரச்செய்தீர்: தாயின் மடியிலேயே எனக்கு உறுதியான பாதுகாப்பாயிருந்தீர்.
10 பிறப்பிலிருந்தே உமக்குச் சொந்தமானேன்: என் அன்னையின் உதரத்திலிருந்தே நீர் என் கடவுளாயிருக்கிறீர்.
11 என்னை விட்டு வெகு தொலைவில் போய்விடாதேயும், ஏனெனில் துன்புறுகிறேன்: அருகிலேயே இரும், ஏனெனில் வேறு துணை யாருமில்லை.
12 காளைகள் பல என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டன: பாசான் நாட்டு எருதுகள் என்னை வளைத்துக் கொண்டன.
13 இரை தேடி அலைந்து முழங்கும் சிங்கத்தைப் போல, எனக்கு எதிராக வாயைத் திறக்கின்றனர்.
14 தரையில் கொட்டப்பட்ட நீர் போலானேன்; என் எலும்புகள் எல்லாம் நெக்குவிட்டுப் போயின: மெழுகு போல ஆயிற்று என் நெஞ்சம், எனக்குள்ளே அது உருகிப் போய் விட்டது.
15 என் தொண்டையே ஓடுபோல் காய்ந்துவிட்டது; என் நாவு மேல்வாயோடு ஒட்டிக்கொண்டது: கல்லறையின் தூசிக்கு என்னை இழுத்துச் சென்றீர்.
16 ஏனெனில், பல நாய்கள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டன; பொல்லாதவர்கள் கூட்டம் என்னை வளைத்துக்கொண்டது: என் கைகளையும் கால்களையும் துளைத்தார்கள்.
17 என் எலும்புகளையெல்லாம் நான் எண்ணிவிட முடியும்: அவர்களோ என்னை முறைத்துப் பார்க்கிறார்கள், பார்த்து அக்களிக்கிறார்கள்.
18 என் ஆடைகளைத் தங்களுக்குள் பகிர்ந்து கொள்கிறார்கள்: என் உடை மீது சீட்டுப் போடுகிறார்கள்.
19 ஆனால், நீரோ ஆண்டவரே, என்னை விட்டுத்தொலைவில் போய் விடாதேயும்: எனக்குத் துணையான நீர் எனக்கு உதவிபுரிய விரைந்து வாரும்.
20 என் ஆன்மாவை வாளுக்கு இரையாகாமல் விடுவியும்: நாயின் கையிலிருந்து என் உயிரைக் காத்தருளும்.
21 சிங்கத்தின் வாயிலிருந்து என்னை விடுவியும்: காட்டு மாடுகளின் கொம்புகளினின்று ஏழை என்னைக் காத்தருளும்.
22 நானோ உம் நாமத்தை என் சகோதரருக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துவேன்: சபை நடுவே உம்மை இவ்வாறு போற்றுவேன்:
23 ஆண்டவருக்கு அஞ்சுவோரே, அவரைப் புகழுங்கள்; யாக்கோபின் சந்ததியே, நீங்கள் அனைவரும் அவரைப் போற்றுங்கள்: இஸ்ராயேல் மக்களே, நீங்கள் அனைவரும் அவருக்கு அஞ்சுங்கள்!'
24 அவரும் எளியவனின் மன்றாட்டைப் புறக்கணித்ததில்லை, வெறுப்போடு தள்ளினதில்லை: அவனிடமிருந்து தம் முகத்தைத் திருப்பிக்கொண்டதுமில்லை; அவன் அவரை நோக்கிக் கூவுகையில் அவனுக்குச் செவிசாய்த்தார்.
25 பேரவையில் உம்மை நான் புகழும் வரம் உம்மிடமிருந்தே எனக்குண்டு: அவருக்கு அஞ்சுவோர் முன்னிலையில் என் பொருத்தனைகளைச் செலுத்துவேன்.
26 எளியோர் உண்பர், நிறைவு பெறுவர்; ஆண்டவரைத் தேடுவோர் அவரைப் புகழ்வர்: 'உங்களுடைய நெஞ்சங்கள் என்றென்றும் வாழ்க!' என்பர்.
27 பூவுலகின் கடையெல்லைகளில் உள்ளவர்கள் அனைவருமே இதை நினைத்து ஆண்டவரிடம் திரும்புவார்கள்: உலகின் மக்களினங்களெல்லாம் அவர் திரு முன் விழுந்து வணங்குவார்கள்.
28 ஏனெனில், ஆண்டவருடையதே அரசு: நாடுகள் அனைத்தின் மீதும் ஆட்சி செலுத்துபவர் அவரே.
29 தரையினுள் துஞ்சுவோர் யாவரும் அவரை மட்டுமே ஆராதிப்பர்: கல்லறைக்குச் செல்லுகிற யாவரும் அவர் முன் தலை வணங்குவர்.
30 நான் அவருக்காகவே வாழ்வேன்: என் சந்ததியார் அவருக்கே ஊழியம் செய்வர்.
31 வரப்போகிற தலைமுறையினருக்கு ஆண்டவரைக் குறித்துத் தெரிவிப்பார்கள்: பிறக்கப் போகும் மாந்தர்க்கு அவருடைய நீதியைக் குறித்து, 'இதெல்லாம் ஆண்டவருடைய செயல்' என்று அறிவிப்பார்கள்.

30 A seed H2233 NMS shall serve H5647 him ; it shall be accounted H5608 to the Lord H136 for a generation H1755 .
