2 தாவீது அரசன் சீபாவைப் பார்த்து, “இவைகளெல்லாம் எதற்கு?” என்று கேட்டான். சீபா பதிலாக, “இந்தக் கழுதைகள் அரசனின் குடும்பத்தினர் செல்வதற்காகவும் ரொட்டியும் பழங்களும் அதிகாரிகளின் உணவிற்காகவும், திராட்சைரசம் பாலைவனத்தில் நடந்து செல்வோர் சோர்வுறும் போது குடிப்பதற்காகவும் பயன்படும்” என்றான்.

ERVKN   ರಾಜನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಚೀಬನಿಗೆ, “ಈ ವಸ್ತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಏತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಚೀಬನು, “ಹೇಸರಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಜನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಕರು ತಿನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ತಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಕ್ತಿಗುಂದಿಹೋದವನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು.
