1 இஸ்ரவேல், நீ திரும்புகிறதற்கு மனமிருந்தால் என்னிடத்தில் திரும்பு என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; நீ உன் அருவருப்புகளை என் பார்வையிலிருந்து அகற்றிவிட்டால், நீ இனி அலைந்து திரிவதில்லை.
2 நீ உண்மையுடனும், நியாயத்தோடும், நீதியுடனும், யெகோவாவுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிடுவாய்; அந்நியமக்களும் அவருக்குள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டு, அவருக்குள் மேன்மைபாராட்டுவார்கள்.
3 யூதா மக்களுடனும், எருசலேம் மக்களுடனும் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நீங்கள் முட்களுக்குள்ளே விதைக்காதிருங்கள், உங்கள் தரிசு நிலத்தைப் பண்படுத்துங்கள்.

5 {வடக்கிலிருந்து வரும் அழிவு} PS தேசத்தில் எக்காளம் ஊதுங்கள் என்று சொல்லி, யூதாவில் அறிவித்து, எருசலேமில் கேட்கச்செய்யுங்கள்; நாம் பாதுகாப்பான பட்டணங்களுக்கு வந்துசேருங்கள் என்று சொல்லி, உரத்த சத்தமாகக் கூப்பிடுங்கள்.
6 சீயோனுக்கு நேரே கொடியேற்றுங்கள்; கூடுங்கள்; நிற்காதிருங்கள்; நான் வடக்கேயிருந்து பொல்லாப்பையும், மகா அழிவையும் வரச்செய்கிறேன்.
7 உன் தேசத்தைப் பாழாக்கிவிடுவதற்குச் சிங்கம் தன் புதரிலிருந்து எழும்பி, தேசங்களை அழிக்கிறவன் தன் இடத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுவருகிறான்; உன் பட்டணங்கள் குடியிராதபடி அழிக்கப்படும் என்கிறார்.
8 இதினிமித்தம் சணல் ஆடையை அணிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்; புலம்பி அலறுங்கள்; யெகோவாவுடைய கடுங்கோபம் நம்மைவிட்டுத் திரும்பவில்லையே.
9 அந்நாளில் ராஜாவின் இருதயமும், பிரபுக்களின் இருதயமும் சோர்ந்துபோகும்; ஆசாரியர்கள் திடுக்கிட்டு, தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் திகைப்பார்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
10 அப்பொழுது நான்: ஆ! யெகோவாவாகிய ஆண்டவரே, உங்களுக்குச் சமாதானமிருக்கும் என்று சொன்னதினால், உண்மையாகவே இந்த மக்களுக்கும் எருசலேமுக்கும் மிகுதியான மோசத்தை வரச்செய்தீர்; பட்டயம் ஜீவன்வரை எட்டுகிறதே என்றேன்.
11 வனாந்திரத்திலுள்ள உயர்நிலங்களிலிருந்து, ஒரு தீக்காற்று என் மக்களாகிய மகளுக்கு நேராக வீசும் என்று அக்காலத்தில் இந்த மக்களுடனும் எருசலேமுடனும் சொல்லப்படும்; அது தூற்றவுமாட்டாது சுத்திகரிக்கவுமாட்டாது.
12 இதைப்பார்க்கிலும் பலமான காற்று என் காரியமாய் வரும்; இப்பொழுது நானும் அவர்களுடன் நியாயம் பேசுவேன்.
13 இதோ, மேகங்களைப்போல எழும்பிவருகிறான்; அவனுடைய இரதங்கள் பெருங்காற்றைப்போல் இருக்கிறது; அவனுடைய குதிரைகள் கழுகுகளிலும் வேகமானவைகள்; நமக்கு ஐயோ, நாம் பாழாக்கப்படுகிறோமே.
14 எருசலேமே, நீ காப்பாற்றப்படுவதற்கு உன் இருதயத்தைப் பொல்லாப்பு நீங்கக் கழுவு; எதுவரை அக்கிரம நினைவுகள் உன் உள்ளத்தில் தங்கும்.
15 தாண் பட்டணத்திலிருந்து ஒரு சத்தம் வந்து, செய்தியை அறிவிக்கிறது; எப்பிராயீமின் மலையிலிருந்து வந்து, தீங்கைப் பிரசித்தம்செய்கிறது.
16 தேசங்களுக்கு அதை நீங்கள் பிரபலப்படுத்துங்கள்; இதோ, காவற்சேவகர் தூரதேசத்திலிருந்து வந்து, யூதாவுடைய பட்டணங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் உரத்த சத்தமிடுவார்கள் என்று எருசலேமுக்குக் கூறுங்கள்.
17 அதற்கு விரோதமாய் அவர்கள் வயல்வெளிகளின் காவற்காரரைப்போலச் சுற்றிலுமிருப்பார்கள்; அது எனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம் செய்தது என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
18 உன் நடக்கையும் உன் செயல்களுமே இவைகளை உனக்கு சம்பவிக்கச்செய்தன; இது இத்தனை கசப்பாயிருந்து, உன் இருதயம்வரை எட்டுகிறதற்குக் காரணம் உன் பொல்லாப்புத்தானே.
19 என் குடல்கள், என் குடல்களே வலிக்கிறது; என் உள்ளம் வேதனைப்படுகிறது, என் இருதயம் என்னில் கதறுகிறது; நான் பேசாமல் அமைதலாக இருக்கமுடியாது; என் ஆத்துமாவே, எக்காளத்தின் சத்தத்தையும், போரின் ஆர்ப்பரிப்பையும் கேட்டாயே.
20 நாசத்திற்குமேல் நாசம் வருகிறதாகக் கூறப்படுகிறது; தேசமெல்லாம் பாழாகிறது; திடீரென்று என் கூடாரங்களும், ஒரு நிமிடத்தில் என் திரைகளும் பாழாக்கப்படுகிறது.
21 நான் எதுவரைக்கும் யுத்தத்தின் கொடியைக் கண்டு, எக்காளத்தின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்பேன்.
22 என் மக்களோ அறிவில்லாதவர்கள், என்னை அவர்கள் அறியாதிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் பைத்தியமுள்ள பிள்ளைகள், அவர்களுக்கு உணர்வே இல்லை; பொல்லாப்புச்செய்ய அவர்கள் அறிவாளிகள், நன்மைசெய்யவோ அவர்கள் அறிவில்லாதவர்கள்.
23 பூமியைப் பார்த்தேன், அது ஒழுங்கற்றதும் வெறுமையுமாயிருந்தது; வானங்ளையும் பார்த்தேன், அவைகளுக்கு ஒளியில்லாதிருந்தது.
24 மலைகளைப் பார்த்தேன், அவைகள் அதிர்ந்தன; எல்லாக் குன்றுகளும் அசைந்தன.
25 பின்னும் நான் பார்க்கும்போது, மனிதனில்லை; ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளெல்லாம் பறந்துபோயின.
26 மேலும் நான் பார்க்கும்போது, யெகோவாவாலும், அவருடைய கடுங்கோபத்தாலும் பயிர்நிலம் வனாந்திரமானது; அதின் பட்டணங்களெல்லாம் இடிந்துபோனது.
27 தேசமெல்லாம் பாழாய்ப்போகும்; ஆகிலும் முற்றிலும் அழிக்கமாட்டேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
28 இதினிமித்தம் பூமி புலம்பும், உயர இருக்கிற வானங்கள் கறுத்துப்போகும்; நான் அதைச் சொன்னேன், அதைத் தீர்மானம்செய்தேன்; நான் மனஸ்தாபப்படுவதும் இல்லை; நான் அதைவிட்டுத் திரும்புவதும் இல்லை.
29 குதிரைவீரரும் வில்வீரரும் இடும் சத்தத்தினால் எல்லா ஊராரும் ஓடி, அடர்த்தியான காடுகளில் புகுந்து, கன்மலைகளிலும் ஏறுவார்கள்; ஒரு மனிதனும் அவைகளில் குடியிராதபடி எல்லா ஊர்களும் விடப்பட்டிருக்கும்.
30 பாழாய்ப்போன நீ இப்பொழுது என்ன செய்வாய்? நீ இரத்தாம்பரம் அணிந்தாலும், பொன் ஆபரணங்களால் உன்னை அலங்கரித்தாலும், உன் கண்களில் மையிட்டுக்கொண்டாலும், வீணாய் உன்னை அழகுபடுத்துவாய்; ஆசைநாயகர்கள் உன்னை அசட்டைசெய்து, உன் உயிரை வாங்கத் தேடுவார்கள்.
31 கர்ப்பவேதனைப்படுகிறவளின் சத்தமாகவும், முதல்முறை பிள்ளை பெறுகிறவளின் வியாகுலமாகவும், மகளாகிய சீயோனின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்கிறேன்; அவள் பெருமூச்சுவிட்டு, தன் கைகளை விரித்து: ஐயோ, கொலைபாதகர்களால் என் ஆத்துமா சோர்ந்துபோகிறதே என்கிறாள். PE

2 And thou shalt swear H7650 , The LORD H3068 EDS liveth H2416 AMS , in truth H571 , in judgment H4941 , and in righteousness H6666 ; and the nations H1471 NMP shall bless themselves H1288 in him , and in him shall they glory H1984 .
3 For H3588 CONJ thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS to the men H376 L-NMS of Judah H3063 and Jerusalem H3389 , Break up H5214 your fallow ground H5215 , and sow H2232 not H408 among H413 PREP thorns H6975 .
4 Circumcise yourselves H4135 to the LORD H3068 , and take away H5493 the foreskins H6190 of your heart H3824 , ye men H376 NMS of Judah H3063 and inhabitants H3427 of Jerusalem H3389 : lest H6435 CONJ my fury H2534 come forth H3318 like fire H784 , and burn H1197 that none H369 W-NPAR can quench H3518 it , because H6440 M-CMP of the evil H7455 of your doings H4611 .
5 Declare H5046 ye in Judah H3063 , and publish H8085 in Jerusalem H3389 ; and say H559 , Blow H8628 ye the trumpet H7782 in the land H776 B-NFS : cry H7121 , gather together H4390 , and say H559 , Assemble yourselves H622 , and let us go H935 into H413 PREP the defensed H4013 cities H5892 .

11 At that H1931 time H6256 shall it be said H559 to this H2088 D-PMS people H5971 and to Jerusalem H3389 , A dry H6703 wind H7307 NFS of the high places H8205 in the wilderness H4057 toward the daughter H1323 CFS of my people H5971 , not H3808 to fan H2219 , nor H3808 to cleanse H1305 ,

13 Behold H2009 IJEC , he shall come up H5927 VQY3MS as clouds H6051 , and his chariots H4818 shall be as a whirlwind H5492 : his horses H5483 are swifter H7043 VQQ3MP than eagles H5404 . Woe H188 unto us ! for H3588 CONJ we are spoiled H7703 .
14 O Jerusalem H3389 , wash H3526 thine heart H3820 from wickedness H7451 , that H4616 L-CONJ thou mayest be saved H3467 . How long H5704 PREP shall thy vain H205 thoughts H4284 CFP lodge H3885 VQY3FS within H7130 thee ?
15 For H3588 CONJ a voice H6963 CMS declareth H5046 VHPMS from Dan H1835 , and publisheth H8085 affliction H205 NMS from mount H2022 Ephraim H669 .
16 Make ye mention H2142 to the nations H1471 LD-NMP ; behold H2009 IJEC , publish H8085 against H5921 PREP Jerusalem H3389 , that watchers H5341 come H935 from a far H4801 country H776 M-NFS , and give out H5414 their voice H6963 against H5921 PREP the cities H5892 of Judah H3063 .
17 As keepers H8104 of a field H7704 , are H1961 VQQ3MP they against H5921 PREP-3FS her round about H5439 M-ADV ; because H3588 CONJ she hath been rebellious H4784 against me , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
18 Thy way H1870 and thy doings H4611 have procured H6213 these H428 PMP things unto thee ; this H2063 DPRO is thy wickedness H7451 , because H3588 CONJ it is bitter H4751 , because H3588 CONJ it reacheth H5060 unto H5704 PREP thine heart H3820 .

23 I beheld H7200 VQQ1MS the earth H776 D-GFS , and , lo H2009 IJEC , it was without form H8414 , and void H922 ; and the heavens H8064 D-NMD , and they had no H369 W-NPAR light H216 .
24 I beheld H7200 VQQ1MS the mountains H2022 , and , lo H2009 IJEC , they trembled H7493 , and all H3605 W-CMS the hills H1389 moved lightly H7043 .
25 I beheld H7200 VQQ1MS , and , lo H2009 IJEC , there was no H369 NPAR man H120 D-NMS , and all H3605 W-CMS the birds H5775 NMS of the heavens H8064 D-NMD were fled H5074 .
26 I beheld H7200 VQQ1MS , and , lo H2009 IJEC , the fruitful place H3759 was a wilderness H4057 D-NMS , and all H3605 W-CMS the cities H5892 thereof were broken down H5422 at the presence H6440 M-CMP of the LORD H3068 EDS , and by M-CMP his fierce H2740 CMS anger H639 CMS-3MS .
27 For H3588 CONJ thus H3541 hath the LORD H3068 EDS said H559 VQQ3MS , The whole H3605 NMS land H776 D-GFS shall be H1961 desolate H8077 ; yet will I not H3808 NADV make H6213 a full end H3617 .

29 The whole H3605 NMS city H5892 D-GFS shall flee H1272 for the noise H6963 of the horsemen H6571 and bowmen H7411 ; they shall go H935 VQQ3MP into thickets H5645 , and climb up H5927 upon the rocks H3710 : every H3605 NMS city H5892 D-GFS shall be forsaken H5800 , and not H369 W-NPAR a man H376 NMS dwell H3427 VQPMS therein H2004 .
30 And when thou H859 art spoiled H7703 , what H4100 IGAT wilt thou do H6213 ? 31 For H3588 CONJ I have heard H8085 VQQ1MS a voice H6963 CMS as of a woman in travail H2470 , and the anguish H6869 NFS as of her that bringeth forth her first child H1069 , the voice H6963 CMS of the daughter H1323 CFS of Zion H6726 , that bewaileth herself H3306 , that spreadeth H6566 her hands H3709 , saying , Woe H188 is me now H4994 IJEC ! for H3588 CONJ my soul H5315 CFS-1MS is wearied H5888 because of murderers H2026 .
